Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Treasure Box Parties collects through this website and when you book a party with us, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have.
Who we are
Treasure Box Parties is a family-run children’s entertainment business based in Camberley, Surrey. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at info@treasureboxparties.co.uk or on 01276 583500.
What we collect
- Enquiries: when you use our enquiry form we collect your name, email address and phone number, plus the party details you give us, such as the preferred date, town or area, approximate number of children, the birthday child’s age, the theme, your entertainer preference, how you found us and any other information you choose to add.
- Bookings: when you confirm a booking we collect the details we need to deliver the party, such as your contact details, the venue address and timings.
- Emails, calls and messages: if you contact us directly, we keep a record of what you send us so we can reply.
- Website use: information about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, the type of device and browser, and approximate location. This is collected through cookies and similar technology (see Cookies below).
Information about children
We ask for the birthday child’s age so we can plan suitable entertainment. We only collect children’s details from their parent or carer, and only what we need to run the party.
Photos and videos at parties
We sometimes take photos or short videos at parties to show our work on this website and on our social media pages. We only publish them where we have permission, or where children’s faces are obscured. If you would like a photo of you or your child removed, contact us and we will take it down. Our booking terms and conditions also cover photography and filming at parties.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To arrange and deliver your party and handle payment. The legal basis is performing our contract with you.
- To keep records we are required to keep, such as accounting records. The legal basis is our legal obligations.
- To understand how the website is used and to measure our advertising. The legal basis is our legitimate interests in running and improving the business, and your consent where cookies require it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run the website and the business. They only process information on our behalf or as described in their own privacy policies:
- Our website hosting provider, which stores the website and the enquiries sent through it.
- An email delivery service that sends enquiry emails from the website to us.
- Google, for website analytics (Google Analytics), measuring enquiries from our Google adverts (Google Ads), search performance (Google Search Console) and our Google Business Profile reviews.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and YouTube, when you view posts or videos embedded on our pages.
- A review display service and a website speed service that help show our pages and reviews.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they are required to protect it with appropriate safeguards. We may also share information where the law requires it.
Reviews on our website
We show reviews that customers have posted publicly about us on Google and Facebook. Each review appears with the reviewer’s name and profile photo as shown on that site, the date and the review text. We copy these from our own Google Business Profile and Facebook Page so we can display them here. If you have left us a review and would rather it did not appear on our website, contact us and we will remove it.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website uses cookies that are needed for it to work. We do not show adverts on this website. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used, and a Google Ads cookie to measure enquiries that come from our adverts on Google. These optional cookies are only set if you click Accept on our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings button at the bottom of the page. Embedded Facebook, Instagram and YouTube content may set its own cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as we need it to deliver your party and deal with any follow-up, and for as long as the law requires for accounting records. Enquiries that do not turn into bookings are deleted when we no longer need them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to ask us to transfer it, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. To use any of these rights, email info@treasureboxparties.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
